Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress known for her leading roles in a variety of television shows as well as her powerhouse acting in films. Her work is well-known on both Canadian and American Television. Emily first became interested when she watched her sibling Katie performing in a film. After Emily discovered her passion for acting, she took acting classes and attended auditions. Initially she bagged a few commercials, and then was selected for the Canadian children's horror television series Are You Scared of the Dark? The only scene that she could get was a silent one. She got her first big breakthrough at 15, when she got a role as a regular on Glory Days, a WB program Glory Days. Emily's role in the WB show Glory Days, which was canceled nine episodes later, caught the attention and interest of Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily can also be a dancer as well as a photographer. She was listed as one of Teen's top 20 actors. In Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her as number 51.
