Laura Linney, best known for her strong but weak characters, is among of the most acclaimed American actors of the present. As a teenager, she spent her time at the house of her father her interest grew in theater. After studying in Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. She began her Broadway career after her graduation after which she made her TV debut in the next year. Since then she has been in many films, TV productions and stage shows. Her nominations include three Academy Awards, five Tony Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), and received several awards during her professional career. However, in spite of all the awards she has received acting has been her primary passion and she continues to perform both on screen and on stage.
