Jenna Fischer was best known for her role as Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on television. The role she played has earned her an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress category. In addition, she received two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by an ensemble comedy.
She was born and raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna's mom Anne was a performer in church plays in her younger years which sparked an passion for theater.
A trained theater actress, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. In Off-Broadway's play Reasons to be Happy written by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was the lead. At the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, she starred alongside Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer have launched Office Ladies, a podcast hosted by Earwolf in the month of October. The show has been hugely successful, reaching its Top Ten worldwide every week as well as receiving over 200 million downloads in its first two-years. In the beginning of January, 2021, Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She is the writer of two books, The Actor's Life and a Survival Guide that details her journey to St. Louis to Hollywood and her journey to becoming a successful actor. She is also the author of Office BFF's: Tales of The Office From Two of the Best Friends Who Were There (co-authored together with Angela Kinsey) This book provides a memoir of their best relationship and their time on The Office.
